Human 3.0 questions the pandemic-driven shift in our relation to the world—from balcony to screen. The balcony is a threshold between inside and outside; screens relocate that threshold indoors. As we “reforest” our homes, organic bonds weaken and the human figure hardens, becomes concrete.

In the composition, a black frame opening to a digital landscape functions as the new balcony; the modular grey figure before it evokes a body built of metal and concrete. Ground, vines and the frame are articulated with embroidery to create depth, while the scene within the screen is kept flat in acrylic, drawing a material line between virtual and real. Layers of the figure surface in the tension between paint and stitch, forming a hybrid, half-digital, half-physical presence. Budding shoots suggest nature’s resilience.

The work invites reflection on post-pandemic positioning, choices of visibility or withdrawal, and shifting representations among space, body and screen—asking: “Where am I in this universe?”
