Birileri I Selva, Dilara, Gülten “Emek Üçlemesi”

Scenic Design / Realization

Tiyatro Öteki Hayatlar, Civil Production, 2025

A disabled migrant forced to spend his life in a suffocating textile workshop without ever finding the opportunity to express his creativity; a corporate employee swept into a vortex, with not even the smallest moment to spare for himself or his loved ones; and a cleaning worker struggling not to lose her job while battling both physical and psychological health issues.
Three warrior women who have no choice but to rely on their labor to make their lives a little better, and who refuse to stop fighting — hands on their hips — against the violation of the most fundamental rights they possess simply by being human.
Someone seeks to reveal the perhaps well-known yet insufficiently understood — and even contradictory within the society we live in — dimensions of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, aiming to encourage both the individual and the community to question themselves.
The project envisions 30 fictional stories written by 30 different writers — one for each article of the Declaration — to be performed by 30 different actors. It aims to revive the Declaration, which otherwise remains written and printed, simply ‘existing somewhere.’
Produced with the main support of FNF (Friedrich Naumann Foundation) Turkey.
